How Come I Only Get Called At Work When Something Tragic Happens?

I was at work when I got the call. Suddenly it felt like my whole world had stopped, that I was the only thing moving and they were the only thing that mattered. I slowed down at the hospital doors, who being automatic couldnt open fast enough.
What had happened to them? Are they okay? What if they arent, what if theyre...dead.
NO! I refused to let that happen, not again. In my family death was no longer an option.
Jellys dad was in the lobby talking to a patient when I rudely interrupted him.
"room 237." was all he said. His voice gave no hint towards theyre condition.
The moment I pressed the elevator button I decided it wasnt fast enough and took the stairs. I found Darry, TwoBit, and Kitty standing in the hallway outside the room number Dr.Winston had given me.
A bit of relief escaped me when I saw Kit was alright, a few bruises and scrapes scattered her body, but she was alright. But... where was Pony? Was he okay? Was he...dead?
NO!.. death is no longer an option. I repeated to myself.
"We were coming back from the mall when a car cut us off going '60 down the highway. Pony freaked and swerved the car, so only the back of us hit them.... of course, the car is totaled, sorry Soda.." Kit explained, and by her expression I figured the car was her mustang I got her for her 16th birthday. But I didnt care about the car, I could fix that, Pony on the other hand was outside of my mechanic skills.
"Pony, wheres Pony??" I began to panic, until Kit pointed inside the room a few feet away.
There was Pony, lying in a bed hooked up to some machine, his body lined with cuts deeper than Kitty's.
"Pony!" I shouted as I pushed my was to him. Before I could even reach the door I felt a hand on my shoulder.
"Soda he's fine." I had never found Darry's words so comforting.

A little while later Ponys eyes began to open. Darry was right, Pony was fine...except for a mild concussion and a fractured wrist.
"Hey kid how you doin?" I asked.
Pony blinked. "Alright I guess....except for a headache and...AHHWW!! What did I do to my wrist?" Pony was confused by the hard blue cast that hid his wrist.
"Calm down drama queen its just fractured." Kitty explained.
Just then a high pitched voice began shouting from the doorway.. "PONY!!" I looked over and sure enough it was Brooke. "Pony, are you okay? What happened?"
"Im fine Brookie." Pony interrupted.
She planted a gentle kiss on pony's forehead. "I'm glad." she said.
"Alright well I need to get back to work." I started to head out the door, "Don't you kids scare me like that again, ya hear?" I glanced between pony an kit.
"Yeah, Yeah...Death is not an option." Pony said smiling.

Long Time No Post

I Know it's been a while, with workin and the baby stuff and weddings and all.
Kitty and Tibbs came back last week from their honeymoon. I assume they had a good time, im sure theyll post about it. Its weir though, being related to TwoBit. I guess now I can use the excuse that were related when people as me why I hang out with him XD

Anyways, you guys havent been updated on the baby yet... well ITS A GIRL!!!
Her name will be Dallas Skye Curtis and we will call her Skye. She is due in late september. Also I have godparents... drum-roll please =D............................... Kitty and TwoBit. Yeah I had to think long and hard about TwoBit possibly having to raise my kid, but i figured as long as Kittys around it couldnt be that bad...but if Kitty wasnt...well I may need to choose a second pair of godparents just to be on the safe side.
We just finished decorating Skye's room, well Katie did it, apparently I have no talent when it comes to painting and all that...we discovered this after doing our dining room... EPIC FAIL!
Someone else please have kids so Skyes influences wont all be from Dallas -.-

100th Post

Yesterday I went next door to see if there was anything I had accidentally left while moving. I walked in to what used to be my room to see Ponys stuff already in place...
"God Pony nice to know you wanted to get rid of me so bad." I said.
"Hey when you sleep in the same room with that guy (points to Darry) for then years, then we'll talk." He answered.

I was going through the boxes in the top of the closet when I came to one filled with old photo albums. I picked up the first one and opened it.
"Oh my god Pony...... you were a cute kid.....what happened?"
"Shut up." he swung at me but missed.
I flipped through some more pages, then more and more until Pony and I were sittin on the bed reminiscing about old photos.
"Remember this? We all went camping and you fell in the lake and a fish swam up your pants." I laughed.
"Maybe that's why I dont like fish?" Pony commented.
"What are you guys doing?" Darry appeared in the doorway.
"Lookin at old photos.." I said flipping the page.
"Ewww..its Kit's butt.." Pony covered a part on the picture with his hand.
"Ha ha, thats when TwoBit pantsed her at that halloween party. Damn, he was tryin to get in her pants since he was nine." I said.
"Oooh our first gang outing with Katie.. TwoBit stole my clothes and I had to chase him bare ass all around the campfire." I explained. "And here's when we went to California..."
"And the time TwoBit stole my towel and I walked into the living room naked with all you sitting there.."
"God Soda didnt your momma ever tell you to wear pants." Darry said.
Pony pointed to another picture.. "Thats when Dallas and Tibbs got arrested for harassing prostitutes who ended up being undercover cops." He almost peed himself laughing.
"Heres you proposing to Katie.." Darry pointed out.
"Soda...why are you wearing my underwear in this picture?" Pony asked.
"Remember? TwoBit stole all of mine. Ya know Pony, what I really wanna know is why you took this picture?"
He didnt say anything.
"Heres all the wedding pictures..." He said.
"Ahh I wanna go back to Disney World." He added once we found those pictures.
"Dimitri giving Kit a lap dance, haha, oh and katie and mines Bahama trip."
"Ahaha, Your naked in front of Britney Spears.." Pony laughed.
"First time babysitting Blaze, ha ha poor kid." Darry pointed to a pic of Blaze in a hot dog costume.
"Dals bachelor party...I ery much enjoyed that." I said.
"Of course you did Soda, youre half naked." Darry commented.
"Here's when we found Kit's camera and all those interesting pics of the girls.."
"Oh and when me and steve met Jeff Gordon."
We turned the front cover of the last album.
"I forgot Johnny and Jelly went out...thats just weird." Pony said.
Old memories are fun. And I look back on all the times our gang has spent together and I cant wait to make new memories. :)

The doc said everything was good and normal, still dunno if its a boy or girl yet but we have picked names.

Boy: Seth Darrell Curtis
Girl: Dallas Skye Curtis (go by Skye)

Kitty came over this week and helped out with the nursery. Her and Katie went shopping for baby stuff and what not while me and TwoBit did....... what did we do? Anyways, the new house is pretty much complete. Technically there was no 'unpacking' considering we only moved next door so everythings in its place. Bought some nice new furniture and what not. And this week were havin the "Dallas Fell Off The Face Of The Earth" party. =D should be fun.

"Why are you here? Don't you have your own house now?"
Oh Pony, cant say ive missed him...then again cant say i havent either :(
"Since when did you not like me around?" I asked.
"Since you drink all the damn pepsi in our fridge.."
"Pony, thats been happening for like...ten years.."
"Yeah, its been a long time."
I threw my can at him and hit him in the head which caused him to throw a book at me. I jumped up off the couch and took a swing at him. He ducked and pulled my leg out from under me causing me to crash into the floor. I pulled his hair...
"Thats a chick move Soda.."
"Bring it Nancy.." I yelled.
He punched me in the shoulder before I pinned him on his back.
"Bet you like this dont you?" he said.
I hacked a wad of spit and let it drip down till it almost touched his face before suckin it back up again.
"Ewww, soda cooties.."
"Boy, we related...theyre ur cooties too." I stuck my tongue out at him.
"Don't you have a wife and soon-to-be kid to go take care of?"
"Katies at work, im bored."
"Dont you have a best friend to go bother then?"
I sighed. "Stevens too..... fruity. Ya know, im really startin to question the kid..."
"We've questioned him all our lives Soda, youre just his gay lover so you dont realize it."
"But pony, if i was his gay lover dont you think i woulda 'realized it'"?
Pony looked around, caught off guard that i out smarted him.
"Whatever," he finally said. He started to walk off but then turned back around.
"Soda..I miss you."
"I only live next door Pones, you cant come over whenever you want."
"Really??" he said anxiously.
"Yeah, your sister annoys the hell out of us all the time." I added.
"What? Kitty never visits us.." he replied.
"Kit never liked having a sister Pony.." and that sent him into another battle against PepsiCola.

Later that day I took Pony's advice and decided to go see Steve.
I walked up to the DX yelling, "STTTTEEEEVVVEEE----OOOOOO!"
"Whats goin soap?" he paced around the corner.
"Nuthin man, im bored." I said.
"So..you come to work?"
haha "funny, I didnt think about it like that.." I admitted.
"Arent you supposed to be gettin off soon?" I said.
"Yeah...as soon as that Dimitri kid gets here....hes usually not one to be late."
Just then Dimitri's blue '67 Camero peels into the parking lot. His clothes were wrinkled and his hair looked like he forgot to brush it this morning.
"Sorry I'm late man." He gave Steve a pat on the back.
I glared at him, "Dim, you smell like sex." I said. "Isn't that what got you in your situation in the first place?" I questioned.
"You're one to talk Soda." He answered.
"Ehh, point taken. ALrighty Steve lets go have an adventure." And so Steve and I went off to have an adventure.

Here We Are Again

3 am food runs, emotional mood swings, and the smell of vomit when I walk into the bathroom in the morning.
I can't say i exactly missed it, but i am happy that we are having a baby.
Last time I wasnt prepared, but it grew on me, and the more i thought about it the more i became prepared..just in time for it to slip between my fingers. This time is different, i am determined to make sure everything, I mean EVERYTHING will work out correctly this time, and anything or anyone who decides to stand in my way will suffer the wrath of Sodapop Curtis. (oh god im starting to sound like kit) -.-
Tuesday we went in for the first ultrasound. They put that funny gel stuff on Katie's baby bumb and then projected it on the screen. It was different than last time, i dunno how, but this time i was even more excited.
We didnt find out if its a boy or girl yet, but we did choose some names...

New House

Darrys been on my tail about movin out ever since me and Katie got married. I cant blame the guy, i mean i kinda agree it is time to move out, but whenever i thought about leaving it made me sad. This is the house we all grew up in, the house where we lived with mom and dad. It has too many memories to just leave it behind, not to mention how close our family is and everything. Me and Katie thought about it and have been sorta looking around for a while. I didnt give it much thought though until the house next door went on the market. NEXT DOOR, right next to our house now, its too perfect. Its in our price range and everything, so last week I put down an offer and today i gotta call sayin the house is all ours. So we will be movin in this week, it'll probably be the easiest move ever considering its just next door haha.
