Vacation / Thanksgiving

WOW! I really haven't posted in a long time, but im shure you will all forgive me cause I was in california! Yeah me, steve, two-bit, and dallas all went. Darry had to work and Pony and Johnny had school, but man I wish they could have come. Girls everywhere! The bad new is we never made it to a nude beach, but i guess i'll live. One day about a week after we got there we were all sittin on the beach lookin to pick up some girls when two-bit and dallas decided to get in the water, they went pretty far out, a couple a yards past the dock, when they started to wrestle, but you know Dallas and all at one point took it a little personal so it turned to fighting. Two-bit went under and it took me and steve 5 minutes to realize Dallas wasnt gonna let him back up any time soon, so we did our little "bay watch" thing and went and pulled dallas off of two-bit. Two-bit's face was nearly blue.

Anyways enough about California, we got back in time for Thankgiving, any time there's a holiday the whole gang comes to our house for dinner. Darry can really cook a good turkey till it's ruined every year by someone's clumsyness or uncaringness, but this year was different it turned out pretty nice, I have to admit I was a little worried when Darry pulled out the old orange and green candles mom and dad used to use on special occasions but luckily no one burned the house down, maybe the sleve of Steve's sweatshirt but not the house, even without my parents there this was probally one of the best thanksgiving's ever.

TwoBit the Trickster

The other day I was taking a shower. I had set my towel out on top of the counter next to the sink, but when I stepped out of the shower and reached for it, it wasnt there it was gone, the first thing that flashed in my mind was "TwoBit". (I swear Im gonna kill him one of these days) I stuck my ear to the bathroom door and listened. It was really quiet and nobody appeared to be home. Darry had done laundry earlier that day so I knew there was a basket of towels sitting on the couch. I could run out really quick, grab a towel, and run back to the bathroom and everything would be ok, but I was wrong. I opened the bathroom door and took a step forward in attempt to sprint for the towels but I froze, TwoBit, Ponyboy, Johnny, Steve, and Steve's GIRLfriend, where all sitting in the living room and I was standing there starring at the basket of towels butt naked. Then came all the gay remarks, "You know" said TwoBit "You really should take a towel with you to the bathroom before you take a shower. "Would you just shut up and throw me a towel" I said "Nahh, thats a good for ya." TwoBit replied. Screw the towel I thought, I dashed to the bedroom to put on some clothes. Party

The other night I was lyin in bed trying to get some sleep. I tossed and turned but I couldnt even keep my eyes shut a secound. Our couch is much softer then the beds are so I decided to sleep on the couch. I wasnt even there for five minutes when I heard a knock on the front door. I got up to see who it was. I opened the door to find Steve. "What on earth are you doin at my house at 2:00 in the morning?" I said. He said he was going to a party with tons of FREE BEER and he wanted me to come with him.
"You know I dont drink!" I said. "Well then come for the girls." he said. I knew Steve wasnt going to quit bugging me till I agreed to come so I went ahead with him. We were walking down the block when I said "You know Im not comming for the girls right Steve?" He looked at me funny. "Are you telling me you still havent gotten over Sandy?" he asked. (Sandy was my girlfriend who ended up pregnant with some other guy's baby then moved away, and Steve was right I still hadnt fully gotten over it, I loved her too much, I was plannin on marrying her someday.) "Man that was almost a year ago, you need to start looking for someone better." he said. Then I said "You know Steve, for the first time in your life you are right, there are better people out there than Sandy." We started walking a little faster till we reached the house.
We were only there half an hour and already 10 girls had hit on me, I mean seriously am I that good looking? I was about to get up and leave but a crowd of people comming in blocked the door. This one girl who walked past me caught my eye. A few minutes later she was sitting about a foot away from me on the couch. I asked her "How come you aint over there drinking with your friends?" she said "I dont drink, I just agreed to come because I knew my friend wouldnt ever shut up if I didnt." (Kinda like someone I know.) "Me too!" I said.
Man this girl shure was pretty. Long blonde hair, dark brown eyes, 16 years old, doesnt like to drink, she was perfect for me. I asked her what her name was. "Katie, What's yours?" she said. "Sodapop!" I anwsered. Then I kinda expected her to laugh at me, but instead she said it was cool. About an hour or so later when I finished talking to Katie because I was all talked out, Steve tugged on my shirt wanting to leave. I didnt plan on asking Katie for her phone number because she didnt really seem that instered in me, but when I began to stand up and walk away she asked my for my phone number. That kinda suprised me. So I gave it to her and she gave me her's. Then I invited her over for dinner tomorrow night cause I knew she'd love Darry's cookin. Ans she said Yes.
I was so happy when I left. I got a girlfriend. "See i told you you'd meet someone." said Steve, and for the secound time in his life he was right. (Steve i hoped you chershied those moments that you were right because it probally wont ever happen again.)

First Day Of Blogging

Last Monday, the gang and I were playin some football aganist Tim Shepard's gang. We were winning too. But one guy in Tim's gang didnt like the way Darry played, just because he could tackle better than anyone else. And this guy knew he had no chance against Darry so after the game I see him talking to Ponyboy taking it all out on him, shovin him and all. I ran over to Darry and told him.
Of course I could have taken the kid out myself but since he was talking crap about Darry I thought it would be funnier to see Darry kick his butt.
Darry walked up to that guy, reared his right elbow back as far as he could and hit the guy so hard to the ground he couldnt stand back up on his own. So then tim got ticked at Darry for hittin the kid so we all stood back, kept our distance, and watched Darry fight Tim. Of course in the end Darry won and now him and Tim are friends again. Its funny how a huge arguement can bring people closer together.
